Filament Braided Tubes

When interlaminar shear and torque strength are critical, Janco's filament braided tubing stands up to the task. Braiding creates tubular parts without seams or overlap and are produced by resin bonding woven fiberglass filaments. The filaments cross each other at an angle as in filament winding and are also tightly interlaced and mechanically interlocked. As with our filament wound tubes, our braided tubes are impregnated with the specific resin system necessary to meet your exact specifications. We can also produce braided tubes with inserts or over core materials.

Filament Braiding

High strength

Low density

Readily machineable

Excellent insulator

Translucent

Corrosion resistant

Highly repetitive fiber placement (part-to-part, layer-to-layer)

Strong, thin-walled, lightweight composites can be produced
